TEANECK, N.J., July 22, 2009 – April K. Johnson of Montclair, N.J., has been named executive director of Heritage Pointe of Teaneck (www.RetireAtHeritage.com), a full-service rental retirement community located at 600 Frank W. Burr Blvd. in Teaneck, N.J. Johnson, who has an extensive background working in senior housing and hospitality services for more than 10 years, will supervise Heritage Pointe of Teaneck department heads and staff members while focusing on exceeding resident expectations.
Johnson is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor of science degree in health systems management. She also obtained a master of business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J.
In her previous experience, Johnson has worked with both independent and assisted living communities in Northern New Jersey and Westchester County, N.Y. She has received numerous awards and recognition from employers for her high-energy motivational management style with an emphasis on customer service and resident satisfaction. Johnson has also been highlighted as a “Who’s Who” among executives and businesses.
