Cushman & Wakefield Negotiates Renewal for Grant Thornton

Metropark Corporate Campus Provides Image, Accessibility for High-Profile Firm
 
EDISON, N.J., Oct. 30, 2009 – Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. has negotiated a long-term, 16,000-square-foot lease renewal for Grant Thornton, LLP at 399 Thornall Street, Metropark Corporate Campus in Edison. The company, which has been located at the Class A property for 10 years, is the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, one of the six global audit, tax and advisory organizations.
 
Richard Baumstein and Matthew Seltzer of Cushman & Wakefield’s East Rutherford, N.J., office, and Mitchell Barnett of the firm’s Manhattan headquarters, headed the assignment. Cushman & Wakefield has been working with Grant Thornton for more than 25 years and orchestrated the company’s original lease at 399 Thornall Street in 1999. M. Alfieri Company owns the Metropark Corporate Campus and was represented in-house.
 
399 Thornall Street serves as Grant Thornton’s main New Jersey office. Headquartered in Chicago, the company maintains locations nationwide. Grant Thornton International is one of the world’s leading organizations of independently owned and managed accounting and consulting firms, providing assurance, tax and specialist business advice to privately held businesses and public interest entities.

The two 14-story structures together provide more than 660,000 square feet of Class A office accommodations.
