ROSELAND, N.J., April 30, 2009 – Two law firm tenants have renewed their leases at 425 Eagle Rock Ave. in Roseland, announced Richard Baumstein of Cushman & Wakefield, exclusive leasing agent for the 126,710-square-foot, Class A property. Owned by Principal Life Insurance, the building serves as home to several attorney practices.

·        Post, Polak, Goodsell, MacNeill & Strauchler, P.A., renewed and expanded its lease at 425 Eagle Rock Avenue. The 38-year-old, multi-service law firm has been a tenant there since 2001. It added 800 square feet for a total occupancy of 13,600 square feet. As part of the expansion, Principal contracted fiber optics from Optimum Lightpath, which will significantly reduce the tenant’s telephone charges while accelerating its Internet access, according to Baumstein.

·        Zeller and Strulowitz, LLP, has been a tenant at 425 Eagle Rock Ave. for more than a decade. The boutique tax and trusts and estates practice renewed its lease of 2,400 square feet.

Baumstein, who has served as leasing agent for 425 Eagle Rock Avenue for 12 years, orchestrated both original leases and the recent renewals for the two tenants. Christian Politan and Matthew Seltzer of Cushman & Wakefield’s East Rutherford, N.J., office, also serve on Baumstein’s team. Bryn Cinque and James Bailey of First Service Williams represented Post, Polak, Goodsell, MacNeill & Strauchler in that firm’s recent renewal.

According to Baumstein, 425 Eagle Rock Ave. has become known as a “lawyer destination” property. “This is a first-class building with a first-class owner,” he said. “Best of all, it sits between two full exits on I-280, which makes it very easy to zip into Newark with its courts and law schools. 425 Eagle Rock Ave. was the last building developed at 280 Corporate Center. It has a marble façade, atrium entrance, nine-foot ceilings and a high percentage of windows to floor area. Tenants there also enjoy on-site property management and food service. It simply is a great product.”
