Program to Address Life Cycle of Distressed Real Estate

NEW YORK, N.Y., March 19, 2009 – Glen Fishman, chief executive officer and founder of P&F Management Company, LLC, has been named among the panelists for the Distressed Debt & Turnaround Investing Summit, to be held March 31 and April 1, 2009, at the Helmsley Park Lane in New York City. Fishman, who possesses more than 25 years industry experience and is an acknowledged expert in the repositioning of distressed real estate assets, will serve on the “Industry Spotlight: Investing in the Distressed Real Estate Market” panel.

Formed by Fishman Real Estate Enterprises in collaboration with Plainfield Asset Management, LLC, a Connecticut-based hedge fund, P&F Management is a multi-faceted real estate investment and development company specializing in the acquisition, repositioning and redevelopment of underutilized real estate assets and portfolios.

The company, which serves as an owner, lender and developer, aggressively pursues distressed assets in all class categories. Each of the company’s properties demonstrates the potential for exceptional value realized through reorganization or repositioning.

“As a result of the current financial crisis, distressed real estate throughout the New York metropolitan area, especially in the residential sector, is in need of recapitalization and repositioning,” noted Fishman, who is a managing partner in several major developments, including the Great Falls in Paterson, N.J. “Understanding the life cycle of distressed real estate is imperative to maximize one’s market knowledge and minimize potential risks.”

The program, to be held at noon on April 1, will analyze how to capitalize on property assets discounted due to the market downturn, explore projected debt maturities over the next three years to assess investment opportunities and evaluate the conditions to rehabilitate or dispose of complex portfolios and assets.
