Levin Announces Shannon Rose Opening at St. Georges Crossing

WOODBRIDGE, N.J., Aug. 4, 2009 – The Shannon Rose Irish Pub has opened its doors at St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge, announced Levin Management Corporation, the property’s leasing and managing agent. The new establishment represents the second location for the authentic Irish restaurant/pub; the original eatery is located in Clifton.

“This restaurant truly has an appeal that reaches people of all ages,” noted Matthew K. Harding, president and chief operating officer of Levin Management Corporation. “The Shannon Rose is a great addition to St. Georges Crossing and to the community of Woodbridge. It not only has introduced a unique new dining and pub experience but has created approximately 200 permanent local jobs.”

The Shannon Rose brings to the vibrant Central New Jersey marketplace an extensive, moderately priced menu ranging from such traditional Irish fare as fish ‘n chips, Gaelic chicken and a wide variety of beef dishes, to such eclectic crossovers as Irish corned beef spring rolls. Nightly events ‚Äì including drink specials, entertainment and music ‚Äì round out The Shannon Rose experience.

“The Shannon Rose was designed to have our guests feel as though they are stepping into Ireland when they walk through our doors. The bars are hand made, and all of the ‚Äòbrick-a-brac‚Äô and fabrics are from Ireland directly. We are excited to be in the town of Woodbridge and look forward to bringing everyone our Irish Hospitality,” said Shannon Portell, vice president of The Shannon Rose Irish Pub.

The new establishment occupies a portion of St. Georges Crossing that formerly housed a movie theater. As part of a larger renovation, Levin converted the space for multi-tenant retail use, updated the exterior and created a new landscaping plan. The restaurant’s inviting façade features bold colors and downtown Dublin charm.

Located on US 1 & 9, at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 35, and long a key regional shopping destination, the center is anchored by a 91,000-square-foot ShopRite supermarket. Other tenants include P.C. Richard & Son, PETsMART, Taco Bell, Bertucci’s, Wine Country, Pier 1 Imports, Golf Galaxy and GameStop.
