Recognized ASP for Combodia Flag supports SkyWave LRIT solution

(“Modootel”), a key supplier of satellite communication equipment and services in South Korea, today announces their support of SkyWave DMR-800LRIT terminal and the SkyWave Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) system.
Modootel is¬†not only the Recognized ASP for the Cambodia Flag it also closely aligned with Sun Communication, the Testing ASP for the Korea flag. Modootel will provide services including provision and installation of new ship terminals, modification of ships‚Äô existing installed terminals to ensure LRIT compliance, routing of LRIT data to contracting government’s Data Centers and functions to remotely update reporting intervals per LRIT regulation.

Developed in accordance with the regulations set out in the International Maritime Organization (IMO) resolution MSC.264(84) Annex 2, the SkyWave DMR-800LRIT terminal is a standalone unit, pre-configured for LRIT. Built on SkyWave’s proven reliability in ship security (SSAS) and vessel monitoring systems (VMS), the terminal is an economical option for ship owners needing to retrofit existing systems. As a complementary technology to existing installed equipment, the DMR-800LRIT terminal on the SkyWave IsatM2M network assures compliance at low cost.
