Secure Path Networks and Long Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team Up to Help Corporations Save Money

MELVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 18, 2009 – In today’s recessionary environment, non-profit organizations and philanthropic businesses are challenged more than ever to think out of the box when it comes to corporate gift giving. Now, a new innovative partnership between Secure Path Networks (SPN), an independent telecommunications consulting company, and Long Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) helps corporations reduce their telecommunications expenses while donating a portion of those savings to fund research, education and services for people with blood-related cancers.

Based in Westchester County, N.Y., with regional offices throughout the New York metropolitan area, SPN collaborates with those involved in LLS’ corporate gift-giving program by auditing current voice and data services and expenses and identifying new, enhanced telecom carrier options. Since SPN began conducting these audits risk-free in 2001, clients have realized an average cost savings of between 20 to 60 percent.

“SPN is unique in that the company does not charge any fees or bill for a portion of the savings – which never ceases to astound new clients,” said Tom Gesky, SPN’s founder and chief executive officer, who noted the firm derives its revenues from the telecom carriers selected by the client. “Through our partnership with Long Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, SPN is donating 5 percent of our revenue from a telecom carrier conversion project completed on behalf of any society supporter. This is a collaborative win/win for everyone.”

SPN and LLS were connected through The Long Island Way, a Melville, N.Y.-based organization dedicated to matching non-profits with businesses in an effort to build better communities. The goal of The Long Island Way, founded by Donna Cariello, is to create awareness and develop strategic partnerships through the spirit of giving and bridge sustainable communities. “We commend SPN and LLS for their efforts to collaborate in a way that creates synergy and benefits the community at large,” said Cariello.

“This new partnership demonstrates Long Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s commitment to help our donors not only achieve their philanthropic outreach goals, but improve their own business operations by providing them with a value-add service that can significantly reduce one of their highest line-item expenses,” said Katie Stockhammer, campaign director.

SPN serves as a liaison between carriers and businesses to evaluate, analyze, identify, negotiate and implement the best telecommunications solution available. The firm maintains strategic alliances with more than 100 telecommunications vendors, carriers and providers. Once the client makes a decision, SPN works with the selected telecommunications providers to oversee the entire implementation process.

SPN’s regional, national and international clients include retailers, staffing agencies, pharmaceutical companies, financial firms, legal firms, educational facilities, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers, real estate firms, logistics companies and government agencies. The company, which specializes in single or multiple locations, is headquartered in Pelham, N.Y., and operates branch offices in Manhattan, Long Island and the Boston area.
