Hollywood up-and-comer Holt Boggs first stepped onto the scene with his performance as Truman Fisher in the hit indie thriller, The Prodigy. The film’s international success has earned Holt rave critical reviews and a growing fan base from all over the world. A recent transplant from Texas , this classically trained actor has had a busy production schedule with films slated through 2010. Matthew John Prater
With three leading roles in back-to-back-to-back features; “The Zandorsky Tapes”, “Passed the Door of Darkness”, and “Road to Red” - scheduled for release Summer 2009, Matthew is very busy. He recently landed a supporting role on Josh Schwartz’ new series “Rockville, Ca.” airing on the WB.com this Spring, 2009. Matthew is gearing up for his next lead role in a feature filming in his home state of Michigan in the summer, 2009. The film, titled “Road Kill,” casts him as a hot-shot photographer from the big city who accompanies his girlfriend back to the farm-town where she grew up to attend her Grandfather’s funeral.
Ian Tran
With 2 films festival bound in 2009, including the tech-thriller SHADOWNET and the controversial TAQWACORES, a film about the Muslim-punk culture that stemmed from a book published by an indie rock label, IAN TRAN, a transplant from the sleepy town of Kennewick, WA, is all smiles. Written and at first self-bound by an Irish-Catholic-White-Muslim-convert, the film, in which Ian plays an Indonesian-Muslim-Punk-Skater-Stoner, has the New York Times calling the “Taqwacores”, “The ‘Catcher In The Rye’ for young American-Muslims”.
Philip Shahbaz
A relative new-comer to Hollywood , Philip Shahbaz first appeared on the scene in Steven Bochco’s war-drama OVER*THERE. Since then, he has been cast in several principal roles including, David Mamet’s The Unit, NBC’s Chuck, CBS’ Eleventh Hour, and Showtime’s Californication alongside Golden Globe winner David Duchovny. Currently, Shahbaz voices the title-role alongside Kristen Bell in the hit video game Assassin’s Creed. Shahbaz and his wife Amy are proud parents of two-year-old quadruplets; three boys and one girl.
Sven Garrett
German born actor and writer SVEN GARRETT made first US headlines in Florida in 2000 as the lead actor in the student film “Night Shift”, which achieved second place at the International Student Film Awards, which got him back-to-back leading roles in
“Miami Tale”, “Final Engagement” and “Zombie Unit 713”. Relocating to Los Angeles in 2003, Sven then appeared in “Days of our Lives” and “The Young and the Restless”. It didn’t take him long to get recognized and he became the star of Lions Gate’s controversial horror thriller “Murder-Set-Pieces”, in which he played the menacing “Photographer”, starring next to “Cabin Fever’s” Cerina Vincent as well as Tony Todd (Candyman) and horror legend Gunnar Hansen (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre).
With “Murder-Set-Pieces” international exposure Sven achieved global recognition and movie offers from many corners of the world. His recent appearance in the NBC hit show “Chuck” got him in contact with many television executives and he is currently in conversations regarding his pilot “Catered To”, a TV concept, which he created, wrote and developed with his writing partner and fellow actor Matthew John Prater.
Sven just returned from Cologne, Germany, where he met with German director Dennis Gansel (The Wave), to talk about his next project, which will star him in Gansel’s next movie, a drama about two brothers, who got separated at youth and reunite 25 years later.
Meanwhile Sven is developing an Action Adventure travel show with Germany ’s TV station RTL, which he will host as well as produce and partially executive produce. Sven is a busy bee with his hands in many different projects. And if there is some time left at the end of the day you can find him on different sound stages around LA, where he translates and synchronizes movies and children books into native German.
Katherine J. Vander Linden
After growing up in Lake Stevens , WA , Katherine VanderLinden headed to New York to attended The Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Even as a new comer in town she was catching the eye of Emmy Award Winning Director Todd Holland. While being an ‘extra’ Todd plucked her up and made her a recurring co-star for the short lived series ‘Miss/Guided’. With the controversial film ‘Roslyn’ (also staring Lou Taylor Puci, Jon Foster, & Trevor Morgan) Hitting festivals in 2009, Katherine takes on the role of ‘Janet’ who finds herself on the wrong place at the wrong time; to say the least. Also in 2009, Katherine plays supporting lead, ‘Linda’, in Sorority Girls, from the same producers of ‘Colors of the Cross’.
